Alex Garland writing Judge Dredd remake

Alex Garland, the man behind 28 Days Later and the fantastic Sunshine, will be returning to theaters with a remake of Judge Dredd.  The film will based on the the original 2000 A.D. comic series, that featured the Judge as the primary character, famously portrayed before, by Sylvester Stallone in the 1995 film co-starring Oscar nominee Diane Lane.
