Afterlife goes to 2011
For those very few of you who still really do enjoy Paul W.S. Anderson and the Resident Evil movie franchise better listen up. ShockTillYouDrop reports that the fourth installment of the series is getting the push back all the way to January 14th, 2011. You can interpret that in two different ways, the first of it being that they just need more time with post and all of the CGI animated stuff that the film will obviously have in it. The second could be that Screen Gems could be in some what of a panic and are trying to polish up some pieces of filth that could possibly be inhabiting the big screen.
Regardless, Milla Jovovich is obviously on board for this fourth film with her husband Paul W.S. Anderson writing and directing the video game adaptation. Should this adaptation still be happening at all or should it finally rest in peace, despite the fact that Screen Gems and Anderson don’t care what you think and are trying to milk it for all it’s worth?
Jovovich updated this saying thats its not officially pushed back, and they are trying to meet the release date.
You are correct. This is what she said in her ‘tweet’:
RE Afterlife IS NOT officially pushed. There have been talks of pushing it as they r not sure they can have it ready by july. We r trying as hard as we can to still meet the summer deadline though, so for the moment its still on for Aug.
