Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter going to film
Every once in awhile there’s a news story that’s so strange and intriguing you can’t help but to glance at it. The name alone for this one says it all, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter sounds like something we would conjure up in our strangest dreams. Apparently Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov cracked open our skull and looked in them and scooped up the Seth Grahame-Smith novel and are looking to produce the big screen adaptation of it.
“Lincoln” reimagines one of the great U.S. presidents as an axe-throwing, highly trained vampire assassin, promising to give new context to real historical events such as the Civil War and Lincoln’s ascension to the White House. It begins with his mother’s murder when he was still a young boy and his vow of revenge (Heat Vision Blog).
Mind you, this novel comes from the same mind that created Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, just to give you a better idea of what to expect. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is out on book shelves today, so pick up a copy and let us know what you think.
