Abigail Spencer rides with Cowboys and Aliens

The cast for DreamWorks and Universal’s Cowboys and Aliens has signed on another great name. Mad Men’s Abigail Spencer is reportedly signed to co-star alongside Daniel Craige, Harrison Ford, Sam Rockwell, and Olivia Wilde in Jon Favreau’s sci-fi adventure.

According to Heat Vision Blog, Spencer will play a “prostitute named Alice, a former lover of Craig’s character who makes him change his ways.” The film is based on the graphic novel by Platinum Studios. Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer will be producing, with Scott Mitchell Rosenberg representing Platinum Studios. Filming is currently underway in  Sante Fe, New Mexico. Jon Favreau will be directing.

Cowboys and Aliens will open on July 29, 2011.
