A Nightmare on Elm Street reshooting

Submitted by Melissa Molina on December 7, 2009 – 8:53 pmNo Comment

nightmare-on-elm-street-remakeIt looks like the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street is making some tweaks for the final product, but it can definitely worry those who are looking forward to the modernized version of the horror movie. Chud reports that after a slew of test screenings around Los Angeles, along with what the audiences thought of the upcoming movie, it warranted enough apparently negative reviews to start reshoots. Not only to reshoot but to go and cast a couple of more new people entirely and adding in even more scenes.

Lord knows what the hell is it that Platinum Dunes heard from all of the reactions in order to make such randomly drastic changes. The plus side for them is time, seeing that the film is already scheduled to be released on April 30th of 2010. Here’s hoping that the Jackie Earle Haley starring remake is at least decent and will not put fanboys into a frenzy. Even more so, here’s hoping that we finally get a good clear look of Freddy Krueger sometime soon and not in the form of some half assed action figure.
