A New ‘Cloudy’ Trailer Flops on Unsuspecting Masses

For those that don’t know, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is a childhood classic for oodles of kids. Following suit with Seuss classics How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Horton Hears a Who, Sony Pictures Animation plans to cash in on the adaptation this September.

The new trailer adds a little bit more to the plot line, giving more expositional and rising-action information. Legendary  Mr. T plays police officer Earl Deveraux, and he and his son Cal steal the scene for a moment. The ending comedic bit of absurdly-brief foreboding seems to appeal to the elementary school crowd, but hopefully this movie follows along the line of past Sony Pictures Animation hits Open Season, its sequel, and Surf’s Up to cater to both young and old crowds.
