A Christmas Carol will have first footage screened at Cannes!
Regardless how you pronounce it, many times the prestigious Cannes Film Festival turns out to be a great starting ground for new films and those primed for awards contention. Â One notable difference is that this year the ffestivals opening film will be the Pixar 3D animated comedy UP! Â The film marks the first time an animated film will open the fest and now comes word that director Robert Zemeckis’ highly anticipated next foray into 3D will have its first footage premiere at the fest as well! Â During a press event on May 18th the first footage from A Christmas Carol will be shown during the fest.
A Christmas Carol will be yet another 3D motion capture film from Zemeckis utilizing the same technology he perfected in Beowolf.
