It's really a shame that the Suits in Hollywood feel the need to remake every movie they can get their hands on. I don't blame the directors or the actors for cashing in with the fat paychecks they get for making them. I blame the suits for greenlighting these projects.

Anyway, according to the Hollywood Reporter Vertigo inked a deal with Lionsgate, and is going to produce "The Bates Motel" whis is based on Hitchcock’s Psycho.

Personally I think it's a terrible idea, but I've been wrong before. The remake of the "Battlestar Galactica" television series turned out to be quality work, so who knows maybe Vertigo can do the same with "The Bates Motel" but remaking Hitchcock seems so wrong.
