“9″: The short film that inspired the movie

By now no doubt those of you that have seen the trailer to Shane Acker‘s full length feature film 9, are pretty excited to see the post apocalyptic world on the big screen.   9 is in fact based on a short film of the same name that had been written and directed by Shane Acker, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film.

The short is a silent film, and 11 minutes in length. It is really quite beautiful, exciting, and shows so much promise of what we may see this September.
