25 greatest directors who are still alive and active
Today, EW listed their picks for the greatest directors who have not kicked the bucket.  Below, you will actually see a list, that’s for once justifiable, aside from the Jon Favreau inclusion. There are some good picks that are scattered throughout, that range from Steven Spielberg and Sam Raimi to even the Coen Bros.  This is for once a list I can actually agree on.

Judd “no comedy timing” Apatow? Zack “Don’t know when and how to use slow motion” Snyder? Jon “Okay craftsman but nothing really special” Favreau?
I’m okay with the rest of the list, although we can of course argue about the order of the names.
i personally agree with apatows mention on the list but favreau can be taken off for someone more deserving like woody allen or david lynch. i would argue as well that the order of the list should be tweaked
Peter Jackson? Pfft. James Cameron hasn’t done nada since Titanic! EW is stupid! I encourage all of our fans to write in their Top Working Directors today to us.
aside from Camerons laziness i still think he is a good director but I can totally see David Lynch or David Cronenberg taking his spot.
I can’t believe they left off Michael Bay! What are they thinking? The man directed “Armageddon” for God’s sake.
