Writers hired for Captain America 2

Joe Johnston’s Captain America: The First Avengers has been a film that many have been skeptical about. The casting of Chris Evans a Steve Rogers/Captain America has left many scratching their heads. However, many have turned around on the film after the viewing the film’s Super Bowl spot (here). It seems that Marvel is sure of a hit as they have reportedly brought back the original writers to pen the sequel.

Latino Review is getting word that Stephen McFeely & Christopher Markus are returning to write Captain America 2. Unlike The First Avenger, the sequel will obviously be taking place in modern day rather than in the past. However, it’s unknown when we could see the sequel. Iron Man 3 is already scheduled for release in May of 2013, and has yet to get a writer, so we could may be expect this sequel in 2013 as well.
