Writers confirmed for Scary Movie 5 (LOL) and possible cast

Dimension Films has signed The Comebacks screenwriters Stephen Leff, John Aboud, and Michael Colton to write Scary Movie 5, currently directorless and aiming for its proposed April 20th, 2012 release. Bloody-Disgusting scored this scoop, as well as offers made to past alumni from the franchise, Anthony Anderson (Scary Movie 3, Scary Movie 4, Scream 4), Regina Hall (Scary Movie 1-4) and Kevin Hart (Scary Movie 3, Scary Movie 4, Superhero Movie).

The franchise’s long-running leading lady Anna Farris, hasn’t made a descision if she’ll return the the franchise that has made $300 million worldwide (OMG).
