Woody and Buzz are going on a Jungle Cruise
No, this isn’t the plot of the second Toy Story short (here), but Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Tom Hanks and Tim Allen will be re-uniting for a Jungle Cruise. This will be a feature film based upon the theme park ride at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Disney has been pushing to re-unite the two after the billion-dollar success of Toy Story 3, and Disney felt this was the perfect film to achieve that after attempting to make it after trying ot make it for several years. Roger S.H. Schulman has been hired to pen the script, but no director has been attached.
This continues Disney’s goal of adaptation their theme park rides after the major success of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. The fourth installment, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, will be hitting theaters this May.
