Wonder Woman series postponed
While Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, and many of DC’s comic book superheroes will be coming to the big screen, Wonder Woman was set to be rebooted for the small screen. However, that has now been postponed. Deadline Hollywood reports the TV series reboot was not able to land a deal for a broadcasting network, and has been shelved for right now.
David Kelly met with DC about creating a new series, and began working on the script in September. The script was taken out to networks on Wednesday night, but was unable to find a home. Fox and ABC passed, and the CW could not afford the project. There’s no reason as to why Fox passed on the show, but word is that ABC decline due to a clash between rival companies. After all, ABC will be airing a new show for Hulk (here)Â and AKA Jessica Jones (here).
It’s possible the script could be taken out to studios sometime in the future, but it’s unknown for right now. Although, this could lead to DC Entertainment bringing the Amazon Princess to be big screen for a movie adaptation rather than a television series.
