Wonder Woman pilot gets a director
It was thought for a moment that we would have to wait longer until the Amazon Princess returned to television (here), but NBC just recently reconsidered, and picked up the project (here). Now, the pilot episode is just about the get a director, and fans can rest easy as it’s not McG, who was in talks for the job (here). Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Jeffrey Reiner (Friday Night Lights, Carpica) is finalizing a deal to direct the premiere episode for NBC.
The series will feature Diana Prince/Wonder Woman as a “vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.” No word on casting or when the series will premiere, and fans should hope soon as Smallville ends in May (here). However, we should hear something soon enough.
