Will there be a Tangled sequel?
Byron Howard and Nathan Greno’s Tangled has become a bigger hit than many were expected. Disney was only expecting the film to make only $125 million total, but the film has already surpassed that number, and has yet to open for the international market. Of course, that can only mean one thing: a sequel is in the works. But maybe not.
Moviehole spoke with directors Byron Howard and Nathan Greno about that idea, and revealed that a sequel is possible, but not official.  “[John] Lasseter’s (the head of Disney Animation) rule is that we don’t do sequels unless there’s really a strong story. We don’t do sequels just because the first film did really well at the box office,” Greno said. That may be good news for those who feel that not every film needs a sequel, but there’s still a possibility it can happen. Both Greno and Howard would like to return and work with Mandy Moore (Rapunzel) and Zachary Levi (Eugene Fitzherbert/Flynn Rider) again. So, it’s the directors could already be brainstorming ideas for another film.
