Will Magneto become Robocop?

While there’s many reasons why José Padilha’s Robocop reboot won’t be anywhere near as great as the original, but one of the biggest is Peter Weller’s portrayal of Alex Murphy/Robocop. Whoever going to be cast in the lead will have a tough time topping that performance, and the rumored candidates (here and here) have only made fans upset about this film even more. However, Screen Rant pulled up a video from Padiha, which revealed Michael Fassbender (X-men: First Class) as his top choice.

While Fassbender is a terrific actor to say the least, his demand has become high. He already has several films completed, and one of which is Prometheus with Ridley Scott next year. Not to mention he’ll likely be returning in the sequel to X-men: First Class, but there’s been no development on that film just yet.
