Will Kevin Costner be Superman’s adoptive father?

It was reported earlier today that Kevin Costner was up for an unknown, but “key role” in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman reboot (here). Latino Review is now hearing that role in question is that of Jonathan “Pa” Kent, the adoptive father of Kal-El (Henry Cavill). The role isn’t too surprising given that Costner doesn’t seem fit to be either Lex Luthor or General Zod, two characters that are speculated to appear in the film. Jonathan Kent is also definitely a “key” character in the Superman mythos.
