Will Criterion release other Toho monster films?

It would be an understatement to say that fans are looking forward to Criterion’s upcoming release of Ishiro Honda’s classic Gojira on January 24th, especially after that mediocre release from Classic Media. Howover, could we be seeing more Toho titles from them? “I couldn’t say. Never say never, I suppose, but there are so many factors that go into titles being acquired and released that I can’t speculate on any possible impact GODZILLA sales would have on possible future releases. I certainly wouldn’t turn down another opportunity. THE MYSTERIANS, anyone?” Criterion producer Curtis Tsui said to SciFi Japan.

Obviously there’s nothing to get excited about here, but hopefully we can get some more title from Criterion after Gojira. Perhaps we can finally get a DVD/Blu-ray release of Godzilla vs. Biollante or The Return of Godzilla?
