Which studios are buying Super Bowl ads?
It’s time of the year folks. Fans are cheering on their favorite Football teams, and seeing just who will be in the next Super Bowl. But I’ll be quite honest with you, I don’t care which teams play, or who’s performing in the half-time show (it’s Madonna btw). I’m more interested in the commercials and movie previews that will play during break.
Well, The LA Times is reporting that Relativity Media, Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures, and Walt Disney Pictures have bought ads for the game. Relativity will be promoting Act of Valor, but it’s unknown what what movies the other studios will be advertising. Although, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Battleship, and John Carter are likely to be seen. A few studios we won’t be seeing are Warner Bros., Twentieth Century Fox, Lionsgate, and Sony Pictures. So that means no Prometheus, The Dark Knight Rises, or The Amazing Spider-man ads will be seen. Not surprising considering the studio didn’t advertise for last year’s game either.
