What might never be – Bloody Valentine Sequel

With Drive Angry 3D upon us, director Patrick Lussier and writer Todd Farmer have opened up about what might never be, the My Bloody Valentine sequel. The film released in 2009 by Lionsgate was pretty successful considering it was a genre film. The pair wrote up a script but it seemed Lionsgate had no interest in the project. So Lussier and Farmer have spoken about what might have been and how the sequel would have opened up. Of course what follows are spoilers if you haven’t seen the original film.

t was going to start the moment the first film ended. We were going to wheel into the hospital with Axel (Kerr Smith) and his wife (Sarah, Jaime King) was there. He goes into surgery. She goes to make a phone call in one of the waiting rooms to check in on her son. She gets to the phone and she sees these muddy footprints and looks around the corner to the bathroom and there’s Tom (Jensen Ackles) trying to sew himself up. The massacre you didn’t see at the beginning of our Bloody Valentine perhaps you see in the beginning of the sequel.

Apparently ‘Massacre‘ was the word for the sequel “There were several planned for the movie. My Bloody Valentine 2 would have been a massacre!” Lussier added. The script might not go to waste, as they might use parts of it for a future film.
