What if the Criterion Collection released the Harry Potter movies?

Sometimes, fans can make stuff like posters or DVD covers better than the studios, and that’s what graphic designer named Patrick Sullivan just did on his Tumblr. He took the Harry Potter saga and crafted these wonderful Criterion Collection covers. Ah, “what if?”, huh?

I’m personally a sucker for great cover art, and while Warner Bros. wisely used the theatrical posters for the Blu-ray and DVD releases, these are pretty damn sweet. Criterion is no stranger to licensing titles away from studios, but I wouldn’t hold my breathe for them to do Potter from Warner anytime soon. But still, wow…
