What do Twilight and David Cronenberg have in common?

Robert Pattinson, according to Deadline, as the actor will appear in Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis. The film, based on Don DeLillo’s novel, follows Eric Packer (Pattinson), a multi-millionaire across Manhattan as he goes through his fortune in a 24-hour attempt to get a haircut. The sci-fi film has Packer in the crosshairs for an assassination in a drama that is a study of capitalism in a slightly futuristic metropolis, amongst other things. Cronenberg and Twilight? Who knew the new flesh was sparkly?

Truth be told, Pattinson was really solid in Remember Me, and for all of the Twi-hards and Twi-hates, partnering with the Canadian master seems like a great post-Twilight move.
