West Memphis Three film in the works
Does Hollywood know how to time it or what? Deadline is reporting that after just hours of their release, Hollywood is already moving forward with a feature film based upon the West Memphis Three.
Atom Egoyan will direct the film, Devil’s Knot, based upon a script by Scott Derrickson and Paul Boardman. The film has been in the works for the last six weeks, and Egoyan will now be doing some rewrites on the script.
The film will be based upon Investigative Reporter Mara Leveritt’s 2003 book Devil’s Knot: The True Story of the West Memphis Three about “the sensationalized trials that sent the three to prison for the murder of the three 8-year old boys who were found hog-tied in a drainage ditch.”
