Wesley Snipes again talks Blade 4

Has Blade’s time passed? Outside of Stake Land and Daybreakers, vampires since Blade’s last film in the weak Blade: Trinity, have become rather, um, pussies. But Wesley Snipes still gets asked about future adventures of the Daywalker, and he continues to answer them. Here’s what he told IGN about a possible Blade 4:

It would be nice to fulfill some of the really cool plans we had for Blade, but didn’t get the chance to go live with. Some people forget or overlook my/our contribution to this current trend,” says Snipes. “The ‘Gaming’ community knows and the streets give us credits, but the movie world frequently plays us like the ‘ugly step child’ or the ‘kitchen help,’ especially when the conversation revolves around the ‘boys in tights’ or ‘the bat‘.

Snipes continues, “Getting asked this question all the time, my response is: ‘Under the right circumstances, with the right team, yes, I’d do another one.’ But don’t get me wrong, I’m not waiting around for the opportunity. I’ve got plenty to do, plus an unraveled character in the works who I think will give Blade a helluva run for his money.”

Hmm, who’s this mysterious character he has up-his-prison suit-sleeve?

  1. IMO, there’s noone more suited for Blade than Wesley Snipes. Yeah, Blade Trinity was garbage, but that was all b/c David Goyer can’t write, nor direct. But I don’t think he should hold his breath for another film. Marvel has the rights back, and we’ll most likely get a reboot.
