WB wants to bring Rampage to the big screen

While other studios have concentrated on adapting console games to the big screen, Warner Bros. seems to be wanting to bring more Arcade adaptations. They’re already relaunching Mortal Kombat with Kevin Tancharoen’s Mortal Kombat Legacy webisodes, but the studio is now looking to go on a rampage with their next one. Bloody-Disgusting has heard thee studio is looking to bring a big screen adaptation of Midway’s Rampage series and Space Invaders. No word on how far in development these films, but we probably won’t hear anything more soon.

Neither of this is really any surprise given the popularity of Alien Invasion films that Space Invaders will be very likely revolve around and Giant Monster (or Kaiju) films are today. And who knows, Rampage could very easily be a fun monster movie.
