WB gives Sherlock Holmes 2 a new title

Warner Bros. has issued a new press release in which they reveal the new title for the Guy Ritchie directed sequel opening December 16th, 2011. It’s no longer Sherlock Holmes 2, but instead it’s Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, which keeps in tune with the series’ typical titling.

“Guy Ritchie helms a new action-packed adventure, following the world’s most famous detective, Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.), and his longtime trusted associate, Dr. Watson (Jude Law), as they match wits with their arch-nemesis, the criminal genius Moriarty (Jared Harris).”
