Wanted 2 will actually be happening (UPDATED)
After years of waiting and rumors about a follow-up to Wanted, it seems the film will actually be happening. Derek Haas Tweeted today stating he’s been hired by Universal to write the script for Wanted 2. The one thing holding up development of a sequel the issue of Angelina Jolie’s character. She’s stated many times she wouldn’t be returning for another film, and that’s not likely to have changed at all. However, they’ve likely found a way to move on beyond her character.
Update: Coming Soon has details on where the plot will head. “Take off after the events of what just happened. Pick up Wesley a few years later and go back in for another round.”
