Update on that Doctor Who film

 

It was announced last month (here) that Hollywood would be rebooting Doctor Who on the big screen. Well, there’s been conflicting reports from Writer/Producer Steven Moffat about whether or not the film will actually be happening. Well, Moffat has now updated the film (via Moviehole). “Never. It’s never going to happen. Just no way,” he said about the film being a reboot and starring a different actor. So, is he denying the film is actually happening again, or just about changing the actor?

Anyway, we can at least rest easy knowing that it won’t be a reboot, and that whoever is playing The Doctor will star in the film. He continues and mentions that he hopes a film is made one day, but “It would be with the same actor who would be playing the Doctor in the TV show at that time.” Honestly, a Doctor Who movie has been rumored for years, and this has only fueled the fire. But do people remember the last time Hollywood brought The Doctor to the big screen?
