Trick ‘r Treat sequel?
Could a sequel to Trick ‘r Treat be in the works? The official Twitter page for Michael Dougherty’s anthology Trick ‘r Treat was updated on March 31st (before April Fool’s), and could be hinting at a sequel. “Sam WILL return.” Fans of the film will remember that Sam was the “spirit of Halloween” in the anthology. Warner Bros. ceased its theatrical upon release, but the film has gained a cult following since. A sequel has been planned since 2009, and this is the first anything has been heard about it. If it did happen, then it would probably be DTV.
