Toy Story & Toy Story 2 to appear in 3D October 2nd!!

Today, came word out from Mark Zoradi , the President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Group, that this October 2nd, Toy Story and its hit sequel Toy Story 2 will be re-released for a limited run in theaters, using Disney Digital 3D.  Both films were up-converted using the original films data files to the 3D format.

The two films bought in a total of 436 million domestically, and the first film earned director John Lasseter a special Oscar for the development and inspired application of techniques, that have made possible the first full length computer-animated film.

Toy Story 3 is currently scheduled for release June 18, 2010.
