Thor to be released in IMAX 3D
We are just little over two weeks away from Kenneth Branagh’s Thor debuting in theaters on May 6th. We all know the film will be released in post-conversion 3D, but a press release from the IMAX Corporation (via Comic Book Movies) confirms the film will be heading to IMAX theaters in 3D as well. “We’re excited to continue our relationship with IMAX following the success we shared on ‘Iron Man 2,’ and we look forward to fans experiencing the thrill of ‘Thor’ in the immersive IMAX 3D format,” Tim Connors, Chief Operating Officer, Marvel Studios said. Chairman and President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment also believes Thor “will resonate with the IMAX audience by transporting them directly into the 3D world that Kenneth Branagh and the Marvel team have created for this epic film.”
Let’s just hope the post-conversion 3D doesn’t hurt the film.
