The Wolverine not on hold
It was reported the other day that Darren Aronofsky left The Wolverine (here) because it would’ve kept him from his family  (or was there more to it than that (here)?). Entertainment Weekly was hearing that Twentieth Century Fox was going to put the film on hold, but Super Hero Hype is dismissing that, and claim that if a director is found as early as tomorrow, then filming could kick-off in July as planned. However, one of the reasons EW stated the film was delayed was due to the recent disaster in Japan. Christopher MaQuarrie’s script took Logan/Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) to Japan, and the plan was to shoot in Tokyo. Although, the studio could just as easily shoot on a sound stage.
However, many fans’ hope for the film may have dropped significantly after Aronofsky left the project. But hopefully, this film will turn out better than its predecessor.
