The Shining to be screened with Original Ending in Rochester, New York
Our New York readers will be excited to hear The Shining is going to be screened with its original ending in Rochester, New York October 22nd, 2011 at 8pm. What better way to get into the Halloween spirit than to check out this classic film as it was meant to be seen? It will be playing in historic Dryden Theatre which is located at George Eastman House in Rochester, New York.

An unstable writer (Jack Nicholson) takes a winter caretaking job at a snowed-in mountain lodge, quickly succumbs to “cabin fever” — or is it something far worse? — and terrorizes his hapless wife (Shelley Duvall) and creepy, psychic son (Danny Lloyd). A brilliant study of domestic abuse and possession — demonic, creative, and familial — this is Kubrick’s horror masterpiece as you’ve never seen it, complete with a chilling coda cut from the original release.
