The Light Knight vs. The Dark Knight in The Dark Knight Rises?

Here’s your silly The Dark Knight Rises rumor of the week (and it’s only Sunday). Some keen twitterers have spotted the original Gotham Knight in Adam West around where Christopher Nolan is filming sequences for Wayne Manor in next summer’s The Dark Knight Rises.

Here’s the first tweet: “Has anyone else spotted Adam West knocking around Nottingham? I heard rumors that he was appearing in a small role in the new Batman film, but didn’t believe it until today when I saw him in a pun near Woolaton…”

And another tweet confirming this West appearance: “Once again I’ve seen Adam West in the vicinity of a certain big house in #Nottingham na na na na na naaa #Batman.”

Curious, no? Would a cameo from Adam West throw you off during the high drama of the final Nolan Batman film? Or would it be the tits? The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.
