The Incredible Mr. Limpet remake may be Dazed and Confused
A remake of the 1964 film The Incredible Mr. Limpet has been in works at Warner Bros. for a while now, but it seems that progress is now being made. Sources are telling The Los Angeles Times that Richard Linklater (Dazeed and Confused, The Bad News Bears) has been hired to direct the remake of The Incredible Mr. Limpet. The original film starred Don Knotts (Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith show) as “an everyman who is transformed into a fish and goes on to fight Nazis.” Linklater has pitched his vision of the remake to WB, and is expected to take a modern-day approach to the original.
