That Dirty Dancing remake has a writer
Kenny Ortega’s remake of the fan favorite chick flick Dirty Dancing has a screenwriter, according to Deadline. It’s Maria Maggenti from the Selena Gomez vehilce Monte Carlo who will put baby in the corner. No idea where the direction of the remake will go, but let’s hope it’s not Havana Nights.
The original story revolved around Frances (Jennifer Grey), a young, upscale teen going to holiday camp over the summer with her family. There she meets and falls for the camp’s handsome, slightly-brooding dance instructor (Patrick Swayze). Thoughts?
