Thank Buddha! Tony Jaa returning to film!
Well, this personally has made my year. Tony Jaa, as we reported here left for a Buddhist monastery, something that might be connected to easing his way out of a contract with Sahamongkol, after a public dispute over the way the Ong Bak sequels were handled, might be ready to leave that monastery and head north to China, according to Twitchfilm.
There, he would team with legendary fight choreographer and actor Sammo Hung (Kill Zone). The source claims that the film will allow Jaa new found freedom, while also being free to come back to Thailand. No title or story for the project has been announced, but Tony Jaa’s return to movies is now more of a possibility than we realized when news broke he left the industry (here).
