Step Up 4ever gets new star, title
Summit Entertainment has issued a press release announcing the next sequel in the hit franchise, Step Up, has a new male lead in Ryan Guzman, a model making his film debut. Also, Summit has dropped the subtitle in the film, so now it’s no longer Step Up 4ever, and instead is just Step Up 4.
Guzman will join the previously announced female star in Kathryn McCormick from TV’s So You Think You Can Dance? for director Scott Speer, replacing Jon Chu. The film begins shooting this fall and will take place in Miami. No word on any cameos from the series previous stars.
