Stallone’s next finally has a director

Prior to announcing that Sylvester Stallone will direct The Expendables 2 (here), it was confirmed that his next acted-in film would be Headshot (here). As previously thought, Wayne Kramer (of The Cooler) would direct, but he ultimately left. Now, AICN is reporting that Walter Hill will direct Headshot.

“It’s official. We’ve got Walter Hill on board so would love for you to let the world know. We’ve been on the same track since The Driver, then 48 Hrs didn’t happen so here we are almost 35 years later, I’m finally driving with Walter Hill,” said Stallone.

The film, written by The Messenger‘s screenwriter, has Stallone as a New Orleans hitman who teams with a young NYPD detective.
