Spider-man reboot to feature web-shooters

We finally got our first look at Andrew Garfield as Spider-man in Marc Webb’s reboot (here), and was met with mixed reactions from fans. However, there’s something that was hidden in the picture that many may have missed, web-shooters. That’s right, Collider enhanced an image of Garfield’s arms, and it seems the film will feature Spider-man’s classic web-shooters.

In the comics, the spider bite didn’t grant Peter Parker the ability to shoot web from his wrists, and he created his trademark web-shooter to make up for that. This was changed in Sam Raimi’s trilogy to organic webbing that originate from his wrists.

  1. You should never mess with a classic. I hate the gloves, the webs on the suit, sticky out web shooters etc Even the old movie costume was better.

  2. NOOOO!
Only if he, like in the original canon storyline, develops the organic web at some point AFTER getting the power. Perhaps by a spider virus…? Because human bodies are not familiar with spiders’ feelings you know…

  3. I don’t mind the webshooters.
