Sony to help out with Bond 23 and 24

While development on Sam Mendes’ Bond 23 has been moving forward lately, there’s always been an issue about money recently with MGM. The studio needed Warner Bros. to finance Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit, and the next installment in the James Bond franchise is no different. However, MGM and Sony Pictures have announced (via Coming Soon) that Sony will not only be co-financing Bond 23, but Bond 24 as well. The studio has been associated with the previous two Bond films, and Sony is looking to keep that relationship intact. After all, both Casion Royale and Quantum of Solace were big sellers, and Bond 23 will be no different.

Bond 23 is slated for release on November 9th, 2012.
