Sin City 2 gets The Departed writer

William Monahan, according to THR, is writing Sin City 2 for directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller. Monahan won the Best Screenplay for The Departed for Marty Scorsese. No word on when the film will lense, but this is a good indication that it’s finally gearing up, after many, many rumors and chatter.

While at Comic-Con, Rodriguez mentioned most of the 2005′s srivivors will return. Thoughts?
