Shane Acker boards Thomas the Tank Engine
Deadline is reporting that Thomas The Tank Engine will join pretty much every other toy in getting a live-action film. Rights holder HIT Entertainment is moving forward with their first live-action film based upon the toy line. Shane Acker (9) will be directing the film, with Weta Workshop and Mattel’s entertainment will be helping with the special effects. The toys were created 65 years ago, and have been number one preschool toy for 11 years.
