Seinfeld writer to pen Fletch remake
Seinfeld writer David Mandel has been hired by Warner Bros. to write a new Fletch film, a possible reboot, to bring back the infamous character played by Chevy Chase in 1985 and 1989 in Fletch and Fletch Lives. WB claims this new film “will be a smart action comedy that plays out on a bigger canvas than the previous movies.”
Mandel has worked on Seinfeld, as I mentioned, as well as HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiam, and Eurotrip.
Now, it’s time to find the star.
