SDCC ’11: Marvel retrieves their Blade
Wesley Snipes has been teasing the idea of a fourth Blade film, but he maybe out of luck as Marvel has apparently regained the film rights to the character at Comic-con (via Comic Book Resources). This comes after last year’s news that Marvel reacquired the rights to The Punisher franchise.
However, nothing has been moving on the development of another film, and we shouldn’t expect to see anything happen with Blade anytime soon either. The studio is currently taking a “wait and see” approach, and are getting out the big franchises before looking at the lesser known characters.
