Ryan Reynolds is still Deadpool

We just heard from Producer Lauren Shuler Donner that Twentieth Century Fox’s Deadpool spin-off would be a “total reboot” (here), but it still left many wondering if Reynolds would reprise his role as the “Merc With A Mouth”. However, Empire has released (via Comic Book Movies) from their interview with Donner, and she seems to confirm that Reynolds will star in the film. “He’s very involved, Ryan. He’s working with the writers on the screenplay and it is as much as it is ours. I’m tellin’ ya, it’s true to the comic. You’ll see all of them. You’ll see Wade Wilson, the good-looking Ryan Reynolds! You’ll see Deadpool in his costume and you’ll see the cancer-scarred face,” she said. The studio is now looking for a director to helm the film, but no word on who just yet.
