Rumor: Bane to break Batman in The Dark Knight Rises
With Tom Hardy (Inception, Bronson) portraying Bane in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, many have been wondering if we’d see him break Batman’s back as he did in the comic story arc, Knightfall.
After all, it’s probably one of the most famous moments in the Batman franchise, and we’ve already heard rumor that would occur at some point (here). Well, Comic Book Movies is hearing from a reliable source this event will occur the film. In fact, word is this will happen during their first encounter with each other.
This is nothing more than a rumor at this point, and should be taken with a grain of salt as any rumor regarding this film. However, maybe the reason we’ve been hearing so many casting announcements for this film is that Batman will be out of business for a good portion of the film. And it would certainly give more meaning to The Dark Knight Rises title. Perhaps Catwoman (Anne Hatheway) will be taking up Batman’s place while he’s recovering from his fight with Bane?
