Rian Johnson’s Looper is given a release date

Rian Johnson’s upcoming sci-fi thriller in Looper (here and here) has been given a release date from FilmDistrict/Sony’s TriStar Pictures division September 28th, 2012. The date is probably spacious enough for Johnson to finish editing and finish the FX. The movie stars Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon Levitt and it involves assassins who use a time travel element to send their victims back into the past.

Having been a big fan of Johnson’s previous two genre films in Brick and The Brothers Bloom, this is one of the 2012 films to get hyped about. Trust me.
