Resident Evil 5 already dated

After Paul W.S. Anderson’s Resident Evil: Afterlife became the highest grossing film of the franchise (mostly thanks to the increased 3D ticket prices), Resident Evil 5 became a certainty (here). Now, Screen Gems have announced (via Coming Soon) the fifth entry in the popular franchise will be released on September 14, 2012. This keeps with the tradition as the last three have also been released in the month of September. Nothing else is known about the film, and it’s uncertain if Paul W.S. Anderson will be helming the film once again, but you can expect him to be involved in some fashion.

The previous film was also released in 3D, and you can almost guarantee this film will be as well.
